I’m sure that most poker fans have already come across the term “poker club”, as I’ve encountered it in a couple of articles and conversations.
Since I’m interested in everything poker I’ve decided to investigate these clubs, which led me to a couple of discoveries that I now want to share with you. Firstly, these clubs are very common, mainly in England, where several such clubs can be found in every area in each and every wind direction. I’ve tried to go delve into the essence of those clubs, and find out whether they have a common goal for which they are fighting or is it just a group of people that just like poker.
I’ve gone on reading about it and found out that these clubs are actually homes to groups which are opposed to the new trend of online poker uk. They argue that online poker is a fake and that the game loses its value when the players aren’t sitting face to face at the same table. The argue that poker is game equally decided by luck and skills, and that when a group of people is playing a game facilitated by a computer there is no way of knowing weather a person is lying judging by his body language or his speech and that the game is then based mainly on simple knowledge of the different hands in poker uk and a lot of luck.
In true poker, on the other hand, the game is much livelier. Everybody is attentive and concentrating in the cards that they were dealt as well as in their opponents, trying to read their game and understand their position.
To conclude I would just say that if poker is defined as a game of cards which involves gambling that is based on luck and strategy, then only online poker meets the criteria. As far as the importance of the game process and sitting face to face with you opponents instead of a computer screen – you will be the judge.
